Monday evening (February 25th), Heritage Vancouver is hosting a panel discussion on the future of the Education Centre aka "A Walk in the Forest" at the Arts Alliance downtown: see the HVS site for time and registration, which is required, although the event is free.
Panelists include Michael Kluckner, who will give a historical overview; architect Henry Hawthorn, who will speak about the building's architectural pedigree and the botanical garden association's recent dealings with the Park Board; and VanDusen's first director, Roy Forster. There will also be a speaker from the Coastal Forest Alliance (not sure if that's the group's formal name). The evening begins with a Powerpoint presentation that will be posted here afterwards.
